Each RunYoga class is tailored specifically to benefit runners. This includes explanations of how different poses will assist runners and running related concentration and relaxation exercises. The wider benefits of yoga including breath control, improved concentration and posture are also outlined during the classes. Class structures vary somewhat, but a typical class begins with breathing exercises, proper form technique, stretching and strengthening, after which a series of "conversational pace" jogs are punctuated by a series of yoga stops. At the first stop, a core strengthening asana sequence is undertaken. At stop number two, a balancing and leg strengthening asana sequence occurs. The final stop features a delightful stretching and relaxation/cool down asana sequence.
All level Fun Flow
This 90 minute Fun Flow allows students to experience yoga in a fun and kind way. We follow the foundation of vinyasa practice, with emphasis on safe alignment and breath to help us flow from posture to posture. All level classes are accessible for students new to yoga or those coming back from injuries, as well as students with steady yoga practices who want to work towards the edge of their balance, endurance, strength, and flexibility.
This dynamic class has a greater focus on core work. Think planks!!! You will be encouraged to engage your core muscles to move through all the postures and breath work.
This class will feature Core Strength Vinyasa, a style of yoga which helps students engage their center with specific postures and sequences that bring the student into more core-generated alignment, improving safety and stability while sparking a complete body/mind transformation.
