Day 15 Adventure- Get Stoned! Seriously, I mean it- Stones are really old like billions of years!- I love how stones connect us to the past through buildings like the pyramids and the coliseum, mysterious standing stones like Stonehenge in England and the Deer stones of Mongolia and Siberia. They have a story to tell of how they got here, what created it and what it witnessed along the way. We can learn a lot from a stone, how to be strong and resilient, smooth and rough at the same time. I love stones and rocks, pebbles and sand.
Here’s your activity for today: Search for a stone, one that you can carry in your pocket or perhaps add to your medicine bag. Take your time to find the one that calls to you. It may not be the most beautiful stone you have ever seen but it's the one that picked you. Hold the stone in your hands, close your eyes and ask the stone for permission to keep it. If it doesn't feel right search for another. Once you have the perfect stone, imagine what this stone has seen, the stories it can tell you. Connect with the wisdom of an ancient one. Carry this stone with you and use it as a touchstone to connect you with the past and to remind you that you are wild!
WalkAbout Wild journal prompt: Where did you find your stone? How does this stone make you feel? Will you keep your stone?
