Day 12 Adventure: Connect with Mother Earth- Grounding into the Earths Energy.
Our energy is not our own. It is dependent on how connected we are to the energy field of the Earth. Mother nature is a huge resource we can use to amplify our vibration! Grounding our physical bodies with the earth is enormously helpful to replenish our energy. We harnessed her energy on Day Seven's Adventure when we mindfully walked barefoot, you can also take pigeon pose outside and allow the energy in through our open hips or rooting and grounding in Gaia Mudra while meditating.
Go ahead and find a place where you can lay on the ground outdoors. A grassy area, the beach whatever you can drop in and ground with the earth. If you find yourself in a secluded area, you might practice naked. Get into the pose that you feel will connect you the most to the earth. Close your eyes and begin to feel where each body part makes the connection. Now with each breath feel yourself sinking into, being supported by and absorbing the earth's energy.
Stay here as long as you desire. Noticing the world around you. When you feel complete, gently emerge from the earth's connection, coming back into your body and softly open your eyes.
WalkAbout Wild journal prompt: Were you able to feel the earth's energy? What sensations and thoughts arose? Pose of the Day: Gaia Mudra. Come to this pose when you feel anxious, chaotic or fearful. The grounding energy of the earth will bring you home. This pose is especially beneficial for the Root Chakra. How to Gaia: Start in easy seat. Feeling the sit bones connecting with the earth. Extend your arms six inches away from your body- Tent your fingers. On the inhale lengthen your spine on the exhale root into the earth.
"Take time to recharge your battery. Energy isn’t something you have —it’s something you are" ~Melody Beattie, Journey to the Heart
