Day 20 Adventure: Create Art from Nature. Unleash your natural creativity. As you venture outside today- look at your natural setting as natures paintbox. The earth gives us all the colors and textures we need to create something magical. When you find something that catches your eye, something already loose, begin creating. You’ll find all sorts of cool materials, sticks, shells, rocks, leaves and more. Let your inner wild, that inner spark lead the way. It’s always nice to ask the land for permission. Permission to remove and use the item, thanking the land for allowing us to create. The earth moves slowly, so wait for a sign. It could be a breeze, a cloud shadow or a bird. Be patient and listen.
WalkAbout Wild journal prompt: What materials did you use? What sparked your creativity? What was the sign that the earth gave you? Pose of the day: Ushas Mudra.
Benefits: It gives us mental alertness, pleasure, and new impulses. In addition, it stabilizes our hormonal system. Use this Mudra to call on Saraswati, the Goddess of learning, music, creativity, intuition, knowledge, discernment, sensibility, and wisdom. Chakras balanced 1-5.
How to Ushas: Come to an easy seat. Loosely Interlace your fingers and rest the hands in your lap, with the palms upward. The tips of the thumbs may lightly touch each other. Relax the shoulder back and down, with the elbow held slightly away from the body and the spine is aligned.
"We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves."~Andy Goldsworthy
